Is it possible to share the iPod Touch's wifi with a computer through USB? I know you can do that with iPhones to share 3G service, but could you use an iPod sort of as a wireless adapter?

This doesn't really make sense. If your iPod can get wifi than why wouldn't your wifi capable laptop be able to use the same wifi...

Sorry to bump this thread, but I still want to do this!
I have tried iPhone Tunnel Suite 2.7 (ITS) with and without socks running on my iPod, but I can't get it to work. I am using Chrome on Windows 7, and Chrome's proxy settings go through the Control Panel. So, I set up the proxy to use 127.0.0.1 with port 1080, no luck. I tried running ITS without the "iConnect" option and instead running the socks proxy on my iPod with address 127.0.0.1 and port 24. I updated the settings on the computer, still didn't work. Is it just that socks and iConnect aren't made to tether wifi? If so, how can I do this?
    Thanks

It seems like we'd first need a good tethering application.

This is pretty handy--I'm on an OsX86 notebook, and I quite frequently find myself without a working wireless card.
