    Hi,

    I dont know if I shall buy the ipod 3G because a new one might come out.

    Has someone worked on a longer wireless range? E.g. Like iPhone.

    Does it have microsoft office on it aswell? How long will it take to jailbreak it and what is the difference?

    Opinions please people...

    Buy it, the next one will probably not come out until next September.

    What could the next one have? I plan to sell my iPod nano 4th generation and chip in some money to buy the ipod touch 3G.

    Has anyone modded there iPod touch so that the wireless is ranged longer?

    @Raymound.C:

    Two words: BUY NOW!

    Software jailbreaks are getting harder and harder as Apple is stripping out superfluous routines/code in the iPod/iPhone boot loaders and hardening necessary routines. And now, we are starting to see Apple push hardware level patches to existing model lines (I'm talking about the 3G BootRom update)... This is not a good sign...

    I've been amazed that the iPhone/iPod family has survived 3 generations of "Jailbreakability".
    Especially seeing as the iPod Linux project/Modding iPod firmwares was quickly shot down with Apple encrypting iPod firmwares.

    If you want to secure your jailbreak (at least a tethered one anyway), buy it now before Apple is able to patch the current Blackra1n/Greenpois0n exploit.

    That is my two-cents.

    Only if your provider supports it and if your w910i supports ad-hoc wifi connectivity... Which I doubt it does... Your only option is to wait and see if Apple will eventually open up the Bluetooth connectivity to be more useful, thats a huge if btw... Or see if a dev figures out a way to do this with a hack of some sort.
