    Hey Everyone.

I'm having some problems with getting into my iTouch, after I restored my computer.

The username is root, and the pass is alpine? Right?

For some reasons im having trouble connecting to it.

I'm using CuteFTP. I am connected to wifi, using the correct IP.

    Username: root
    Password: alpine

The port is set on 22.

For some reason it keeps bouncing back saying its refusing connection..

    Any ideas?

    Edit:
Hmm, just came across another thread with the problem. Sorry for the double thread.

    I have BSD, not openssh.

Do i need openssh? I guess it would make sense.. lol

Its extremely weird how SSH is not available for me in Services.

    Update:
Okay, i installed openssh. CuteFTP now sits at:
STATUS:> [3/6/2008 3:02:42 AM] Socket connected. Waiting for welcome message...
ERROR:> [3/6/2008 3:03:43 AM] Timeout (60000 ms) occurred on receiving server response.
    STATUS:> [3/6/2008 3:03:43 AM] Waiting 30 seconds...

Okay. Problem solved. For future reference (If found in search).

Installing OpenSSH fixed it for the most part for me. Then I right clicked on the connection (in smartftp), clicked properties, Type, and under Protocol Type i chose SFTP Using SSH2

    Thanks!
