    Hello everybody,
as i'm new to this forum and also a noob concerning ipod touch my question will probably sound stupid to you, but it's really important for me.
If i put a video on my pod it works really well but after 5-10 minutes the sound suddenly disappears and after 3 seconds the movie shuts down and i have to restart it.
Can anybody tell me if this is a problem of the ipod itself or if it has something to do with the way i ripped the video or what to do against this, since its really annoying and frustrating to watch movies like that an the pod.
    Thanking you in advance!

I had the same problem, it played alright in the computer and crashed on the ipod, always on the same parts, so I have to manually skip before it crashes... if you skip fast you may avoid reboot the ipod.

It plays fine on the computer - the problem exists only on the ipod. Always on the same parts just as marano wrote.
I never have to reboot the whole pod, the movie file just shuts down and i have to reopen it and it starts from the start...
Hey marano, how did you fix the problem?

What firmware version are you two using? And is the video from iTunes or did you convert it? If so, what converter did you use?

yeah most likely you converted wrong
like ipod can only handle upto 1.5Mps, 30fps, 640X480 (i think)
if you converted your video and set the profile too high, ipods wont play it.

I ripped the DVD with auto gordian knot and converted with Videora...it should be compatible since most of the video plays without problems...
