Settings ForNotifications?

    When i am trying to recieve notifications on 2g touch on 3.0 non-jailbroken, they are not recieved ever?!!! what settings should i have on as far as push and fetching new data are concerned and is there a reason for the problem?

    The app has to be compatible with Push as well. What app(s) are you using?

    I am using tap tap 2 and pollen( push) both are enabled in notification section yet no notifications?
    ------------------double post merged------------------
    so what is the problem? is it a setting issue or something to do with my email account which is hotmail btw? any ideas?

    in settings>Notifications
    enable everything for all apps
    also, something has to happen for a notification to happen (challenge in TTR 2.6, a new text msg for Textfree)

    yep all is enabled and i have had 3 challenges today none of which alerted me?

    i read somewhere that the ipod has to be charging?! is that right?

    I think the only time it has to be charged to recieve push is when it's in sleep mode. And unfortunately, that's the only time I've recieved a push message. I am eagerly awaiting a free IM push app though.
