Setti up Printer help needed

    ok on my laptop i try to set up my printer. a Canon MF5700, on my windows 7 toshiba satellite

    its connected directly to our pc.

    so i go into the network on my laptop, then browse for the printer..

    it tries to connect, but then says no drivers found.?

    i gather i need the windows 7 drivers? i dont known how to get them or where.

    please help

    First things first. Plug the printer directly into your pc, and install using the drivers Tommm found. Then put the printer back onto the original PC.

    Secondly make sure both your PC, Laptop, and Network are set up to allow sharing of the printer. And if your wireless on the laptop, make sure your network is set to a secure network. With some routers if your network is not secure it wont let wireless users interact with some stuff on the hardline

    we have a secure network, and i know ive set it up for sharing.. ill go plug it in now

    the printer doesnt have a usb port, only a weird blue cable that doesnt fit in my laptop
