I tried installing VMware player after installing VMware Workstation but not liking it, so i go to control panel and it doesn't show up.
Then i go to program files and delete all files associated with VMware, restart, try again installing the player, still tells me that i need to uninstall workstation.
Tried reinstalling workstation, but tells me i need to uninstall workstation.

Can anyone please tell me what i need to do in order to get rid of workstation(no ability to uninstall) and install player.

Why would you install VMWare Player if you have Workstation?

Maybe because the Trial is up? Did you check the VMWare folder in Program Files to see if there is an Uninstaller?

Because of how Windows works, deleting the Folder does not count as an Uninstall.

    Install VMware again. THEN Uninstall.

I already tried that, and deleting was my only option.

Get the files out of your recycle bin.
    Uninstall.
