My ipod touch 2g 2.2.1 jb crashed while low on battery.
Since then it is in recovery mode.
I tried many tools like voltage booter and used that "ifix" tutorial and stuff.
Every program reboots my ipod, but after that it still is recovery mode.
No errors are displayed during the booting.

Restoring with itunes does not work, cuz when the installation bar is fully loaded, the ipod seems to freeze. It is still slightly animated but keeps showing the installation bar. While itunes keeps telling me that it is waiting for the ipod.

Please people.. i really need help!
It is a jailbroken device so bringing it back to an apple store seems inappropriate.

Have you tried a DFU restore or a normal restore ?
If you tried only a normal restore, I suggest that you should try a DFU one.
Let me know if this works. If not, I`ll search something else.

both - dfu AND normal restore "freeze" at the end.

I don`t know why this happens. Have you tried on a friends PC ? Though, I don`t think it`ll make a difference, because the iPod freezes, not the PC. Just try it, maybe it will work. As I said, I`ll continue the searching and I`ll tell you if I find anything

From what it is currently capable of, can you tell it is jailbroken? If not, go to an apple store. They can't do anything more than we can. BTW There is alot of this going around lately. Anyone else seen a pattern?
