I have ipod Touch 3G 8GB, MC of the 2G and I cannot downgrade, I just get error 28. No, I don't have cydia blobs. I just got an iPod touch so I had no idea what any of that was.

    Any way to downgrade?

Plus can I get the firmware of the 2g mc model?

No, I'm pretty sure there is no way for you to downgrade without already having SHSH blobs stored from an earlier firmware. Also, I believe the firmware is the same for the 2g and 3g MC model 8GB Touches, as the "3g" is the same as the 2g MC model.

Seriously though, why downgrade? You have a 3g which means you get all the features of 4.0 with full performance!

Oh damn, that's right! I keep forgetting that the 8GB didn't get the new processor and RAM.
