My friend has a Jailbroken iPod Touch. Everything was fine untill one day, the bottom button of the iPod Touch broke. She was a little angry but decided she could use her Best Buy Warranty to return it. But at class, one of her "friends" used it and press the Delete ALL button. The friend gave it directly back to her and she got pissed off. But then the battery pretty much died right in the middle of the deletion. Now she gave me her iPod Touch to fix. I told her I'll try. The thing is, it is now stuck on the apple logo, and whenever i plug it into my computer, it charges but the computer and iTunes really don't even read it. I can plug in my 2G and it reads perfectly. Is there any suggestion on what I can do to either put this on DFU or restore eventhough my computer won't read it? And if I am not able to fix it and she goes to Best Buy to return it, there is NO chance of them finding out it was jailbroken? Please help and respond urgently.

*Come on. You guys reply to all oother topics. Please someone help me...

Let's put it in DFU and restore, and Best Buy won't know, they are such dumb asses they can't even sync the damn thing.

Hold down the home and power button for 10 seconds.
Let go of the power button while holding the home button.
In about 20-30 seconds iTunes will recognize it and you can restore.

I'm a bit confused though, what "Delete All" button is this?

Delete All content found in settings.

you would need to then use 3rd party software to put the device into DFU...

ziPhone used to have a feature to put an iPod into restore or DFU mode. Of course, I do not feel safe using ziPhone to jailbreak, but it should put your iPod into DFU mode just fine.
