Well, I jailbroke my iPod Touch today, and installed fake 3.1.3 from cydia.
I just had to restore my iPod. And now I am unable to jaibreak the iPod, blackra1n leads to a black screen only.
Why is this? Is it possible to jailbreak it again?

Because you have updated to 3.1.3, which can't be jailbroken.

I know 8gb 3rd gens can be downgraded with the 2nd gen firmwares (allowing you to jailbreak again), but i dont *think* the 32/64gb iPods can be.

You may have to wait until a new jailbreak is release.

ah thanks. Oh and one more question: I saved my SHSH on Cydia, yet when I follow the instructions to downgrade, I am unsuccessful. Is there something I need to do differently?

I'm sure you can downgrade your ipod touch to 3.1.2 firmware, google it
and when you get the file hold down shift and click restore in itunes.
    hope it helps!

Thanks, i'll keep trying. Oh one more thing, when I saved the SHSH, it said "ECID saved for 3.1.3" isn't it supposed to be 3.1.2? Is this the reason it's giving me the error about the iPod not being able to restore to 3.1.2?
Oh, the error, by the way, refers to the usual "requested build" one.

Sorry to double post, but things are just going from bad to worse now.
Whenever I attempt to use the iPod at all with iTunes, it asks me to restore. I do so. However, I am completely unable to finish the restore, as everytime I click "next" after naming the iPod and choosing my automatic settings, iTunes freezes.
This is not a new problem, as I recieved this iPod yesterday after exchanging another iPod - again, third gen, 32 - for it, believing it was a hardware issue. Evidently, it's not.
If it helps, I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and I have tried many different iTunes, ranging from the latest to the earliest version of 9.x.
