    Hi,
my touch 2G stopped working. It is not charging from PC nor wall socket. DFU mode does not work as well and i can not think of what alse to do! It was jailbroken on 3.1 before it stoped working. I can not restore it because the battery is empty. My one-year warranty will be over this December, so i thought the best thing is to go to Apple!

    My question is:
If I take my jailbroken ipod there, will it be a problem?
Will i have to pay for repair (because the warrenty probably doesnt cover jailbroken ipods)?
Maby if I do have to pay, How mouch?

    Thanks for help!

If you send it in Apple will see that you jail broke and will not fix it because it is jail broken.

    yea.. jailbreaking voids warranty

how about you try restoring and stuff on another computer??

the worse thing that could happen is that the ipod touch was screwed from the errors.

you tried searching the error codes yet??

DONt send it to Apple or else your scrwd

well if they get it to work then they will see your ipod is jailbroken but then they would have already fixed it. so they cant just break it again. so they will be forced to give it to you fixed then say you cant come back and fix it again.

Correction : DFU mode does work im just not doing it right.

    1. plug ipod into computer
    2. turn off ipod
    3. hold power and home for 10 seconds.
    4. release power and continue to hold home until computer recognizes it in DFU.
    5. restore. and thank darkknight007

Correct or not, I always have the most like by
    1.turning of ipod
2.hold down home button while plugging in the device
3.continue holding the home button until it's recognized
