So im going to the genius bar today to fix my iphone. I have a big problem. It is jailbroken on 4.0 but it wont connect via usb to the computer anymore, wont play out of the speakers, and the home button is broken. How can i remove cydia or make it look like its not jailbroken so apple will give me a new phone ?

No Home button? No Usb? - You're screwed, sorry.

You can SSH in and remove every file so it won't turn on, but that's not very practical and would almost definitely brick your iPod.

Just use remove all settings and data from the Settings.app. This will "brick" your iPhone into a boot loop, this way they should accept it. It is your only chance.

This is actually the right thing to do. I totally forgot about that lol.
Removing cydia wouldnt do anything cause you still have root access
