Ipod touch 1.1.3 with software upgrade i.e. mail.
I cannot send email to my smtp server on public WiFi as the connection is refused.
My provider deny any responsibility as I subscribed a specific contract to use remote inputs.
No problem to receive via my pop3, neither to send via web.
Do any one have an idea how to solve that ?
Setup as been widely changed and lot of different test done.
Of course I have no problems when linked to my provider ADSL.

    Thanks
    Manlio

Bingo. Many ISPs will not allow you to SEND email when you're not connected via their network. You might try enabling ssl, enabling login, etc on the Outgoing mail setting, but even then it may not work if they don't allow it.

ISP not allowing sending emails ...

I knew this .. but my ISP offered a payed subscription to allow that ... and I did it!
I was just looking if anyone of you could tell me another reason for the problem.
    Thanks
    Manlio
