To send mms video on a 3G the same way as on 3GS would something like this be possible?:

    1. Record a video with cycorder. It makes an MP4 file.
    2. Use ffmpeg to convert the MP4 to 3GP.
    3. Hex edit/modify the carrier file to put the 3GS style interface instead of the simple 3G style
    4. Send the converted video

The difficult part would seem to be number 3 since its never been done before.

MMS only selects things from the Photos app. you can receive video on a 3G and forward it, but you really cant create videos with Cycorder and send them via MMS.

I mean some how tricking the iphone 3G into using the exact same interface as the 3GS which can send video, unlike the 3G which can only receive it.

Then sending the converted file which is MMS compatible.
