been messing around with the semi-tethered for a few hours now. for one, it was not booting into normal mode for me. and it would repeatedly crash. not sure if i did anything wrong but tethered seemed much more stable, going to go back to that for now.

just trying to inform my experience, since half the people here can't get it fully working.

I'm not going to semi tethered. You can't use BossPrefs, Winterboard, or SBSettings. It's pretty pointless.

BossPrefs and SBsettings work.... Why do people think they don't??

    I'm running them now.

    sbsettings worked for me

but in the end, it seemed all the drawbacks were just too much

I read in one of the tutorials that they don't. I guess I might try semi tethered tomorrow.

Well its kinda dumb when you have to restart it cause it loaded like 4 different things, and then it shows the connect ipod to computer symbol, then it just loads into itunes.

I really dont think its stable right now. But I am definatly going to fool around a bit more.

If you fiddle enough with it, it's not as problematic as you'd think. Winterboard will work after patch, and so far I've had zero crashes.

However you do have to be careful with some apps, which makes it a bit of a pain, but again, just set it up how you'd like it one app at a time

I work 10 hour shifts, so this is a godsend to me. Tethered would randomly freeze and I'd be SOL until the end of my shift.
