I am selling my touch to someone else. I had the latest firmware. They got it and can't download anything to it. Do I need to log on to itunes and somehow kill the touch serial # off my profile so the new user can download stuff to it?

I don't want to lose all my saved podcasts and music...

Whats the easiest way to let them be able to download their things? Will they lose the 2.2.1?

No just restore so that nothing you had goes to them.

Yep, exactly. Tell me them to restore it and the settings will be normal.

    Is restore under "Settings"?

I have already sold it...but I want to make sure I can still access my itunes library from my computer to burn cds. I want to make sure that that serial # ipod is no longer associated with my Itunes account.

    To restore:

    1. Plug in your iPod.
    2. Open iTunes.
    3. Go to your iPod tab.
    4. Click restore.

Your iTunes account should no longer be there after you restore it. And you'll still be able to use your iTunes account on your computer.
