Something like pressing home+sleep at the same time normally, but you then tap on certain elements you want to take a shot of. Like CMD+sh*t+4, then pressing space bar.
If you're on a Mac, try it now, you'll see what I mean.

The screen is 320x480 and 3.5 inches. What could you possibly point out?

Aren't there some nice graphic editor apps on the app store? So take a screenie and open the app, cut the rest and save your new one.

I don't have any of these apps, but I'm pretty sure it's possible.

    Just my thoughts on this.

I assume none of you are on Macs...
It shoots the actual element, like a separate 'layer' (with transparency, etc.)

Pointing out the double-tap menu, individual icons, SB, things like that.

    It was just a thought!

    I'm on a Mac.

Still don't see the necessity to it.

For people developing themes, thing like that. The idea came to me when someone was suggesting an SBsettings button for the doubletap menu.

I never tried to say bad things about the idea. The idea is great. And useful to some people. But since you're talking about theme-makers: Won't they just take a screenie and edit it on their Computer?

    Still a cool idea though.

If they're showing a modification of system elements, like pop-up windows, or icons with transparency, a simple screenshot would show the background behind the transparency, whereas the "Selective Screenshot" would preserve the tranparency, treating it as a separate image.
