The thought just occurred to me.

Does anyone think it's possible we could be downloading malicious files while we Jailbreak our iPods and adding apps and addons?

IE - main concern, malicious software collecting our account information (usernames, passwords, etc.) for our email, calendar, iTunes and other accounts?

I'm not sure how Apple decided to handle the accounts stored info on the OS, since they figured they locked it down so tightly and apps have to pass a review process that this wouldn't be an issue, thus not securing the information.

    Thoughts?

I guess it could be possible, but I'm pretty sure places that host the jailbroken apps like Big Boss check everything out before hosting it. I could be wrong though. :/

I don't think they can steal passwords and stuff. The worst thing they could do is remove some other apps or something.

It's a scary thought to say the least, especially if in the event your someone like me that does a lot of business mail/Paypal stuff.

They'd have a hay day with my Paypal account.. LOL

Oh well, I guess I won't do that anymore on it.
