FTP into your iPod and you'll find it in the root directory.

I personally use iPhoneBrowser to upload/download from my iPod (when it's directly connected to my computer of course).

    http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/

The other thing you can do is get an application like Filezilla (http://filezilla-project.org/) as an FTP client to remotely connect to your iPod Touch. Just get the IP address, your username and password, and then navigate to the location of your images.

    1. Go into Installer.app install OpenSSh
    2. Download Fugu(Mac App) on the computer http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Internet-Utilities/Fugu.shtml
    3. Open settings, click on your wifi connection
    4. Write down your iP Address
    5. Open Fugu type in your IP Address
    6. Username: root
    7. Press Connect (firxt connection may take alittle while, not to long)
    8. Enter password: alpine
    9. You are now connected to the iPod touch/iPhone

Well if you have your iPod Touch connected to your Wireless Router, you could go into your wireless router and find out the IP address through there.

Again though, I'm on Windows and the iPhoneBrowser (though it works with iPod Touch) works great. Just have your iPod attached to your computer and you're good to go.
