Hello all, I am having some problems with my iPod touch 2G.

Just recently (10 minutes ago in fact) i was reading a book on stanza. After i was done reading the book, I put my iPod to sleep. I wanted to turn it on a while later to listen to music, but the screen wouldn't come on.

So i hop over to my dock station, plug it in, and BAM the screen turns on. then, as I am listening to music, I put my iPod to sleep again, and the music stops playing. What the heck? I go over to the dock station again, plug it in, and this time the screen won't even turn on.

After I tried this a few more times, I came over to my PC and sync'd my iPod with iTunes, and the screen wouldn't even come on to say "Sync in Progress".

Now my iPod is just sitting here, plugged into iTunes, but no matter how many buttons I press, the screen won't come on. Any suggestions?

    All help is highly appreciated.

Hold down the home and power buttons and see if it turns on. If it does the reboot it and see if that helps.

Yes, iTunes recognizes, I will try restoring it.

I tried rebooting, no luck, and yes, the iPod is charging when plugged in.

    EDIT

After holding down the home and power button, I plugged it in, and the apple logo came up for about five minutes. Now it is working fine again.

My iPod did that on the fourth day I had it so I brought it back to the store I bought it at and exchanged it for a new one.
