very very interesting... when you go there again which i'm assuming you will, could you ask them what exactly the recall was about? and see which serial numbers they had sent back?

lies. it is the lack of an anti-reflictive coating on the display panels, and poor quality control

absolutely right, apple should post a formal replacement program for defective serial numbers.

Until someone proves this as true, like posting a copy of the notice or having it from Apple, then every Apple person in the world has the right to say, "What Problem".

That is exactly what happened to me last night at my Apple store. The guy was like I don't see what you are complaining about. Of course he only had week 37's on demo so it was impossible to show a difference.

    iPod Touch Screen Issues

As I mentioned in my introdution to the forum, I have ordered my Touch direct from the UK Apple Store so hopefully I will get a model without the screen issues?

Is this a worldwide issue or just to certain Countries?

I have also opted for the free Laser Engraving so will comment on this when/after I receive my unit from them.

The missing anti-reflictive coating gave contrast issues, so it's not lies...

but it isnt because of a contrast setting, it is a genuie hardware defect and cannot be fixed by software updates.
