It will get hairline scratches that you can only see in bright sunlight, if you keep it in your pocket. im not sure if its the coating itself that gets scratched or the actual glass. it doesnt matter anyway you cant see them when your using it.

I've just fitted one to my 2g iphone. Got my 'zagg' off eday for £15 delivered. Quite a mixture in reviews, some have found them easy to fit others havent. It only needs alittle patients (especially when it comes to the corners). Its the best £15 i've spent so far!!! Would recommend to anyone.

i recommend the otterbox screen protectors for the clear type and switcheasy for the mirror type, wipe down really hard for a few minutes to make sure there is absolutely 0 dust, specks, particles on the screen (this will prevent all air bubbles) or put it on as soon as its out of the box

Yes I suggest getting a Screen protector for your 3GS.

I have a friend who has a 3GS and it has a scratch (1-inch) running along the middle of the screen.

    Why wouldn't you?
@jmwerkus. Get on. I didn't get one for my previous iPod, and there where alot of scratches. I would recommend getting a full body protector.

i recommend something like zagg for the back (maybe www.gadgetshieldz.com), but a power support one for the front.
