At least, I *think* it was a screen problem.

So I had updated my iPod, and properly disconnected it. I was listening to a song, and as I was going upstairs, it randomly stopped playing and the screen crapped out.

The only way I could get it to fix itself was restoring.

Anyone know what happened? Anything I can do to prevent this?

I'm extremely worried, because if my iPod breaks, I can't afford a new one and I'm fairly sure my warranty is up.

All I can tell you is that it is definitely not the screen.

If he restored it and it works now, then of course, it's not..

Maybe you had a wrinkle in your firmware that you downloaded. So long as it does not happen again, I wouldn't worry about it.
