I don't like that now when I turn my iPod Touch 2G on, the screen is locked.
I have to "slide to unlock it" every time I turn it on.

Never had this problem before the 3.0 update.
I don't see an option in Settings to disable this new feature.

    Anyone else notice this?

I get that too. No way to disable.
Do you also get a black screen before you see your lock screen?

Yes, and it takes loger to boot now.
I get the apple logo for 12 seconds and then a blank screen for 10 seconds and then I get the "Slide to unlock" screen.

Yes, its always been there if you choose to lock your screen by pressing the Sleep/Wake button but now I get the slide to unlock when turning it on after having shut it down previously.

This did not happen before the 3.0 update.
