Was using Facebook app, then when I closed the app,the screen went black and it wont turn on, charge or be recognized by iTunes. I have tried putting it in DFU mode, no luck. Please Help

This happened to me a lot on 2.2.
Hold down home and power for 10 seconds. Release as soon as the screen goes black. Then wait 10 more seconds and turn your iPod back on.
Don't get confused, this isn't DFU. This is just forcing your iPod to reboot.

this happened to me and i seemingly couldn't get into DFU mode but it turned out that the usb cord wasn't plugged into my computer. could that be why?
