Go to Settings and then General and then Auto-Lock I believe and set it to "1 Minute" or whatever one you prefer

I use the timer at night when I go to bed and want to listen to a book. But when the timer goes off, usually 30 to 40 minutes, it appears the book continues. The next day I see that it has gone from part 1 to part 4 which is four hours plus. Do I need to also turn off the docking station which seem kinda dumb, why have a timer if you still need to be awake to turn it off OR am I doing something wrong. I do have autolock set to one minutes also.

    Thanks,
    Eileen

hes saying that the screen is off but the backlight is still on. try a restore and if the backlight still isnt fixed then its a faulty device
