My iPod just got its first scratch. It's not big, but I can feel it with my nail. Pretty disappointed since you can't really put it in a case that protects the screen ( except for the sports thing which I do have but it's uncomfortable ). Does yours have a scratch or two?

Well, I got a hard case for mine as soon as I bought it, and it still has the original plastic protection on the screen, I just cutted it to have free access to the Home button, and it's scratch free, even tough sometimes it shares my pocket with my keys...

I don't know how, but one day I took my Touch out of my pocket and the screen was covered in scratches (checked my pocket for a sharp object but only my Touch was in there). Anyway I knew that apple wouldn't consider that a reason to replace it so I went to the Apple Store nearest to me and told them that I had screen flickering problems. They were unable to "recreate the problem" in about five minutes and gave me a brand new iPod free of charge. Yeah I know I lied but if you don't mind it then it will work. As for why I think it happened, I washed my screen with Windex a lot and I think that definately wore off the scratch resistant material that is on the screen. My new iPod's screen feels alot nicer and fingerprints don't show up as much, I can easily tell a difference.

As for the back, I brushed mine and I don't regret it at all, looks and feels great.

So yeah I recommend that you stay away from glass cleaners and possibly brush the back of the touch. And if you want to try the replacement I don't regret it at all

    1) It's extremely dumb to use windex and wonder why you get scratches
    2) You must be extremely selfish. people lie but that was something some dumb spoiled kid would think of and even more is you're telling other people to do it
    3) Some apple people are sh*tforbrains.

Yes, it was dumb to use windex.

What's selfish is charging twenty dollars for an update people are getting for free when you are a multi-billion dollar corporation.

    They are actually very nice.

But thanks for your concern master.

I've only cleaned the screen with pure water a few times using a piece of cloth. It's a very small scratch but still annoying.
