When teachers and students access the internet at your school, do they have to go through special log-in processes?

If so, that's your problem. Other than that, it's pretty to diagnose the problem if you're simply saying it can't retrieve information. I think a firewall of some sort is blocking you.

just open Safari and it will give you a login and pass. you're going to have to talk to the administration to get a login and pass.

You might need the schools proxy in order to get it to work.

If it's what my school has it's probably a proxy
Once you choice the network to connect to, press the blue arrow by it
Go to the bottom and you'll see HTTP Proxy
    Turn it to manual
Then you have to figure out your schools proxy... I know theres some ways to do this, like from a school computer. But idk exactly how, googling it should work though
But then you find the proxy and port number and put them in and you'll be able to connect.

    Hope it helps

Well our school has like a few IP adresses that show up when you boot the comps. Proxy IP and a few other IPs.

Why do schools use proxies is what I wanna know.
