Set the 24hour time to OFF in SBSettings.

dude it is off, i use 12hr format, but it's not showing pm or am. i ain't using military time. if i turn of the date, then it will show the pm or am indicator. but if i turn on date, it only shows the time, no pm or am, any way to get it to show even with date shown on status bar?

It was removed to save space. Adding things up there such as the date and free memory takes up space that the OS normally uses for status icons.

It doesn't affect memory... It takes up space in the statusbar and that space is normally used to display icons such as the lock rotation and the play sign when music is playing.
