    I have a little question.
Say I install a new version of iTunes or something like that, is there a file or something that I can backup that saves my play counts?

I would believe that it saves your play counts, the only thing that changes is the program

I don't know for sure, but my guess is better then the 0 replies in 5 days..

if you have an ipod it also counts those play counts, so i would beleive ur ipod has all the play counts, so if you sync that it should copy over

There is a .itl file somewhere on your pc/mac, copy that and then put it back after.
