I am an iPod Touch newbie ... so be gentle ...

When I'm using Safari and touch a PDF link it opens the PDF file -- good so far -- but, how do I save the PDF file to a directory on my iPod for future reference (and, if possible, rename the file)?

    Appreciatively,
    pw

All you have to do is install the download plugin for safari. It might be a stickied thread. After you do that it lets you save the file to a Downloads folder and you can name it what you want. Then after that you can use term-vt100 to move the file to the PDF folder and it should work.

    Saving PDFs - Follow-Up Questions

    excursion,

Thanks for the quick response ... some follow-up questions ...
(Sorry, this is all new to me.)

    1. From where (and how) do I install the download plug-in for safari?
    - Does it work with 1.1.3?

    2. Is term-vt100 already installed (if not, where & how like above)?

    3. Are there primers/tutorials about getting started with installing and customizing applications?

    Many thanks,
    pw
