How would we go about saving a file? Would it auto save every 5 seconds or something. Because, the app probably does crash, like every other iPhone app tends to do. What if it crashes? Will we lose all of our stuff. I'd like these questions answered before the release date.

Apple needs to come out with FAQ's, and to not let us figure it out ourselves.

    I saw this on MacRumors:

So I think we can go back and forth with documents.

I just put that in my last post.

It looks like we will be able to go back and forth fairly easily.

that makes sense maybe there will be a save folder on your HD of the iPad but as soon as you hook the iPad up to the mac either via wifi, bluetooth or cable it syncs the documents onto that shared directory?? thoughts

On a mac, the shared directory will mount in finder so you can transfer documents back and forth... And on windows, you will be able to do something similar.

via what though? could you mound an entire disk with bluetooth? cause what if you are at school and for some reason you arn't allowed to access the internet to mount the disk via wifi

thats why i think you will also be able to store the files in numbers on the SSD of the iPad

Would you have to manually save? Or would it autosave, lets say every 5 seconds (or other predetermined time)?

saving every 5 seconds will probs make it lagg a tiny? i'm not sure, but say every 1 minute would be good, plus it can help them people that tend to forget to save every now and then and then losing the work lol
