I'm selling my iPod touch and getting a new one... I've obviously jailbroken my ipod and need to basically save all of my files and info on my computer so that when I get my new one, I can just transfer all of my files, settings, etc. HELP!

Well, as of now there aren't any jailbreak methods for the 2G, if that's what you were getting.

What files were on there that were so important?...
Most stuff should have been synced through iTunes unless it is a theme you're talking about.

    - Unhide all app if you have, through Poof/BossPrefs.
    - From cydia, you gotta install an app called "AptBackup". Run the app, press backup.
    - Then open iTunes, on the left pane under device, right click on your iPod then select backup. It will take few minutes, just don't interrupt.

So, on your new iPod, jailbreak it, and directly re-install AptBackup through cydia. Do not install anything else before it.
    - Install BossPrefs
    - Install BossTool
    - Install OpenSSH
    - Restore your iPod through the backup you have made on iTunes before.
    - "Restore" AptBackup
    - Sync back your appStore app.

AptBackup makes a backup of all your previously installed Cydia's application.
iTunes backup recover your music, video, notes, calendar.

    Hope it helps.
