I've tried to Jailbreak my iPhone 3GS 3 times and the same problem has occured each time....

I manage to jailbreak successfully and install Cydia & Rock, however whenever either application updates it says it needs to reboot the iphone in order to work properly.

So I allow it to reboot, and the phone just enters recovery mode.

    What do I do??

    Because you have a LATE-MODEL iohone 3gs
apple changed the boot-room on the ipod touch 3g and late iphone 3gs

where i am trying to get is that you have a tethered jailbreak, and have to run blackra1n or redsn0w 9 every time your iphone reboots to EXIT recovery mode

once your iphone reboots, just connect it to the computer, open blackra1n or redsn0w 9, and run it to boot your iphone away from the recovery mode

you gonna have to do this every time your iphone reboots, until either dev tema, chronic dev team or geohot release a jailbreak that that exploits the new boot room

    Thanks for your reply.

I understand what you're saying, whenever I plug into my computer, should I have itunes open or not?

it shouldnt matter, but try it with itunes closed, and if it doesnt work you may need itunes open for a specific appledevice process to run.
