I know that I am probably the millionth person asking this, but how safe exactly is redsn0w? Do you know anyone whose iPod has been bricked? Also, should I use Quickfreedom or redsn0w?

    Many thanks!
    Ciao!

Redsn0w 0.3 is wayy easier to use. Haven't had my iPod PWNeD by QuickFreedom but heard some stories about iPods that got messed up with QuickFreedom

    It's not impossible...
It's just impossible to brick it doing what you're doing.
But if you're trying to do something like a Dual Boot, then I think you have a possibility of bricking it.

    Correct!
i used to chat with someone who was trying to dual boot and bricked his ipod.
he knew what he was doing though and knew he could brick his ipod.

so ya guys it is NOT impossible.
you just have to be aiming for something that will brick it, like dual booting.

Its impossible the Dev Team's have tried on purpose and have failed.

By dual booting all your doing is messing with the software partitions of the OS.

Whilst DFU is written into the hardware. You can always DFU no matter what.
