Safaris can get flash player

    why cant we just go into program files copy and paste them into the plugins thru ftp

    It is not that simple, this has already been discussed. If you read the previous threads on this topic you would have quickly figured out that porting flash to the touch is definitely not that simple.

    Just like Apple had to spend time to port the operating system from PowerPC to Intel, it'll take time to port from Intel to the ARM processor in the iPod Touch (and whatever other changes were made to the base OS, Safari and drivers)...

    but it seems like archos did it so easily. why cant they just tell apple how to do it? or is it different with the ipod

    Apple knows how to do it, that is not the problem. He is asking why can't an average user just put the flash plug-in in the right folder and magically have flash on safari, again it is not that simple.
