when you open safari click at the last thing at the bottom right hand side i think they are two windows when you do the page will become smaller and there will be a big red X and the top left of the page just click the X and it will close it

When youre done using Safari, to make it open with a blank page, do this:

After youre done surfing, click the bottom right button on the Safari navigation bar.
You should see a mini-version of the page(s) you have open.
Close all of them, it should leave you with a completely blank page.

Close Safari, and the next time you open it, it will be brought to a blank page.

If you really want a "home page", do this:

Download a 3rd party web browsing application from the App Store.
iCab Mobile is a good one, but I believe it is $4.99
