Might be wrong but if you go to installer --> CopyCoders there is a app called 1.1.2 - Download Plugin and the description saysx only for iPhone ( like the apps were MEANT to be ) i was just wondering if this meant safari would let you download flash?

Even if it did, what would you do with it? Safari still can't run flash, and there's no flash player for the iPhone/Touch yet.

Then could you download anything else? Such as clips from websites and such?

Did you not read his post that you quoted? You can't run Flash on the iPod Touch at this time - there's no Flash player.

Only if the clips are in the proper QuickTime H.264 format, and even then you would have to copy them off the iPod and load them into iTunes so the iPhone/Touch could recognize and store them properly. If they aren't in the correct format, you'd have to copy them off, convert them, and then load them into iTunes. Frankly, it's easier just downloading them from your main computer and dealing with them that way.

The download plugin does work, there's just not a whole lot you can do with the files you download until they're moved from the iPhone/Touch to your computer. (The exception is Music, downloading from SeeqPod, for example)
