Everything has been going pretty well for me, and I have been able to fix any problems with my 2.2 jailbroken iPod (1G). All of a sudden, though, Safari crashes any time I try to open it. When I tap on the icon, Safari opens and then crashes. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and is there a way to fix it?

    Thanks

Fixed it. The solution is to uninstall AdBlock through Cydia and respring. 

Bet that you also had ReflectiveDock installed from Cydia and did the update this morning.

I was just about to suggest AdBlock. I wish i would have known earlier! I thought i messed something up cause it just happens to coincide with it crashing right after me messing with safari related stuff. I just barely finished Restoring my iPod!

Well, the fact that CocoaMug's site seems to be dead may explain why AdBlock is dragging Safari down with it - I'll bet it's logging in there first to get the latest subscriptions, and since it can't...

I knew it was only a Safari problem when a free web browser from the app store worked fine.

BigBoss and CocoaMug software posted an update for AdBlock which fixes the 'crash if it can't access CocoaMug's servers' issue that was plaguing AdBlock users two days ago. Looks like my revised theory about what was killing AdBlock was correct.
