I had a problem with my wifi not detecting when I upgraded the firmware to 1.1.4.
I dont know exactly where the problem lies for you since the problem is a little vague but try "forget network" in your wifi settings. Fully turn off and turn back on your ipod. Connect to your wifi network. The IP should start with 192.XXXXXXXX. Also, if you have an encrypted WEP/WPA/WPA2 etc, make sure the password is RIGHT. I accidently put the wrong password it, and instead of the ipod rejecting the password, it accepted it, but wouldnt connect to safari. So if the IP doesnt start with 192XXXXXX, then your router is having problems assigning an ip to your ipod. In that case you would need to assign an ip manually.

    Cheers.
