I have a few questions about the run rs deal for the ipod touch 2ng gen..

Will I have to Re-jailbreak my touch?

Does the run rs firmware allow you to boot off of and device with the right connection ports?

Is it anymore difficult to jailbreak with the run rs patch then a normal tethered jailbreak?

And will you have to install certain patches for certain apps?

    Any help is appreiciated..

    You don't have to...
Go and search a bit, and you'll find out a few ways to get your iPod run rs-ed without re jailbreaking.

Whenever you restore with the run rs firmware it flashes(?) the NOR, but doesn't touch the filesystem

IF you use a "30MB ipsw" with the restore ramdisk removed, it won't reflash your filesystem, only the NOR. I took a working full-restore RunRS ipsw and removed the ramdisks but I got an endless loop of "preparing iPod for restore" crap. Full restore isn't that bad, just use backups in iTunes and install AptBackup from Cydia. And, yes, it is a little harder to make a RunRs ipsw as you have to unzip it and do some copy and paste stuff and make some iBoot changes and manually patch one (possibly 2 if automatic method fails) files fom the NOR. If you follow directions, you are good! With this, you can boot from dongles and ti-84 calculators and possbily cell phones. No patches required like in semi-tethered.
