OK guys I am new to the forum merry xmas and happy holidays

    anyways

I just jailbroke my ipod touch the other day, i only have 200 songs on it, and a few apps..i keep getting a error message stating im running out of disk space.

I did some resarch that the ipod touch has a 300MB space limitation on the partition that apps are installed to, I see alot of replys all over different forums saying that there is a way around it but I google and cant find any instructions anywhere, I would like to do this to my ipod so I can have more apps on it. If anyone has had this problem and knows the work around PLEASE either reply or send me a email directly to

    TY

Get the BossTool utility from Installer. It moves the apps for you to the media partition.
In order to get the app to show up in installer you have to add the BigBoos source; search for it.

added both sources that i found ran bosstool

I clicked move applications under free disk space and now

i went from 12 MB free to 42MB free

so i guess that free'd me up but not completly

    my next question is

everytime i install new apps i have to move them correct?

or does it go to the new location automatically?

You don't have to move them. They will install to the new location. The 42mb free is the partition where your apps where, now its just your firmware (and your wallpaper if you did not move it). Your apps are now on the same partion as your music and videos. You have more than enough space.

    Sources

Just incase anyone else wanted to do this, now u dont have to google for the sources

    markmon.mine.nu:90/iphone/repo/repo.plist is once source

    sleepers.net/~iphone/repo.xml is another source

    I added both....hey why not...

    hm...

Ok, so I followed the above instructions, and it says I have 35.8 MB available. My understanding is that when I install apps, they will be moved with this program to another area where the rest of the space is, which is all well and good. The only problem is, because I expected I would have to restore at some point in the jailbreaking procedure, I never actually put any music/pictures/videos on my ipod. When I try to do so now, it is still limited by the 35.8MB disk space. Also, I intend to put some PSX roms on here, and I'm pretty sure that it will cause the same problem there. I looked through the search several times, and if theres a solution already discussed, then I must have missed it. Help?

Oh, and by the way, first post on the forum. Hai!

i think theres something about it in the WAY to FREQ asked questions thread, something about a 300mb left error or something. I think i browsed through it when I first jailbroke my ipod, check it out, it gives a solution too.
