    Hello!
I had recently downgraded from 4.0 and when I reboot or turn on my device there's a line on top of the apple logo, I'm sure everyone has this issue.
First of all why is this, why do I still have it after downgrading to a completely different firmware I thought it was only with 4.0, and lastly is it harmful to my iPod.

Sry for all these questions, any answers would be appreciated!!

Nah its just the star jailbreak doing that. Its just a respring that happens when you boot normally, but its hidden usually. No its not harmful because it always happens you just dont usually see it. If you are on 3.1.2 why dont you use spirit?

It's not the firmware that's doing that, it's the jb. I had 4.0 on my device when I first got it and didn't have the line at the top until I jb it. Now that i've gone up to 4.0.2, the line is gone
