    Hi,

Is it possible to run iPhone 3G or 3GS OS on my iPod Touch 2G 8GB?

It is the latest model 2G (2009) and came with 3.1.2 (7D11).
Here is a link for iPhone 3GS 3.1.2 OS(also 7D11). Will this brick my iPod touch or something? As there is some features I would like, like voiceover etc. If it would work, I don't care for the Phone, Messages etc icons. Is this possible?

I would appreciate anyone's help, as this would be great for me if it doesn't brick my iPod.

Won't work as every firmware is tailor made to the different devices.

iTunes quote "<name of ipod> is not eligible for the requested build."

the only way it might work if you isolate the app and dependencies and install it some how after its imaged with its own Firmware.
