what Samsung really needs to do is use Super AMOLED+ displays with RGB subpixels, instead of the horrible PenTile matrix.

I heard you can't even see the difference between PenTile and RGB at a resolution of 440 PPI or something like that. Has anyone else heard about this?

    AMOLED and PenTile sucks.

And no Apple will not follow this. If you expect them to put that resolution in 4" you are crazy.

Apple won't follow suit. To be completely honest, why would you pack more pixels into a phone that already one can not distinguish the pixels? Result would be worse battery life.

Maybe AMOLED stinks, but AMOLED+ certainly doesn't. You can't beat the purely black blacks on AMOLED/+ though, and I do miss that--I had a Fascinate, 800x480 SAMOLED PenTile, and now I have a 1280x720 Super LCD. I do love the pixel density on it. :)

Damn. Too many awesome phones coming. I thought I'd be able to hold on to my S3 for at least a year

Result would be a bigger battery.
