Are there any rube goldberg apps? It seems to me the iPod is perfect for this kind of thing. I'd be really suprised if there isn't.

Ugh like those freaking domino effect contraptions that do simple tasks like sharpen a pencil or rape a goldfish? I dunno

I don't think so, it's a great idea though, give it to a dev... I bet ya, he'll make it...

Have the user tilt and control a steel ball, running down the Rube Goldberg "machine" the correct path, and, it pours a cup of coffee. Have a series of such "puzzles" and each one performs something different. Maybe, if you fail, the machine kicks a boot on a big lever. Maybe not.

The emphasis, I would think, would be the artistry either of intricate line drawings or fabulous 3D-look graphic art.

Hey, let's put together a group for bringing out apps.

The closest you'll ever get is Crazy Machines. Which is a game, you know, revolving around Rube Goldbergs.

Yup Crazy Machine is based on the Incredible Machine line of games for PC. pretty decent too. took me like a week to solve them all.
