no one knows how to fix it yet. the only way around it is to do a full restore instead of just flashing the NOR.

Same problem. I got so mad trying the different methods that I slammed my fist on my desk and it knocked my Old Spice bottle off the shelf above me and it spilled all over me.
Now me and my room smell like an italian retirement home.

    here's how to fix that:
    1. boot into dfu
    2. irecovery -f ibss211.dfu
    3. unplug and replug and get white screen
    4. irecovery -s
    5. setenv auto-boot true
    6. saveenv
    7. /exit
    8. boot into DFU and run boot tool to boot ipod.

Do this to get out of recovery.
    1.Put ipod in DFU
2.open command prompt and CD to your irecovery_svn folder
    3.type in irecovery -f ibss211.dfu
    4.unplug then plug back in....whitescreen
5.copy and paste all this into cmd

    irecovery -s
    setenv auto-boot true
    saveenv
    fsboot

    6. the white screen will still be on but redo DFU mode (hold both for 10, etc)
dont close the command prompt and run your boot program.

    worked for me

    Error 6

I'm also getting the same Error 6 in iTunes when attempting to perform the "run rs" nor-only restore.

are you using a certain tool/gui?

if not, that means that even these tutorials are flawed.
