ok so i just tried to put Pokemon - Fire Red onto my ipod touch so the problem is when i open up gpSphone Pokemon show up fine but when i select to play it i get an error like this
"Sorry but gpSphone requires a gameboy advanced ........" then i cant read the rest of the error because it goes of the screen and i can scroll over.

one more thing just to make sure gpSphone only run games that end in .gba is this right ?

and which files do i have to change the permission to 755 and how do i do this ?

so can any help me fix this i dont know were i am going wrong and yes all the files are in the correct location

    thanks AnDo

You need the psx bios, scph1001.bin, you can find it on google, put it in var/mobile/Media/ROMs/PSX with the roms
you are correct .gba is right.
permissions for Roms files should be 777, folders 755, do this by right clicking then properties.
if you do not have the program winSCP get it and use these commands in a terminal:
    chmod 07777 var/mobile/Media/ROMs/PSX
    chown -hR var/mobile/Media/ROMs/PSX
    that should fix your problem

Thanks for your time but i just hit a problem, you sead to put the roms and the scph1001.bin into var/mobile/Media/ROMs/PSX

and the tut on this link http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9862

    says to put them in

/var/root/Media. Create a folder here named "ROMs" and then another folder called "GBA".
Once you have done that go into the folder GBA and drag your .gba files across

i only ask this because when i try to exicute them commands you posted i get an error saying
"no such file or directory" which got me thinking

    thanks for your help AnDo

In that tut you pointed to it had a line for changing the permission flags....
    /bin/chmod -R /Applications/gpsPhone/*
...or you can just use winscp and right click on the file and select properties
