I know very little about ROMs except that I can mess my device up if I do something wrong. What should I do to install ROMs properly? I read something about some thing I should install first to be sure that if something messes up I can revert back to normal.

You need to root and install clockworkmod before you do any flashing/modding.

The method to do this depends however. Which device you have?

To install a ROM properly, make sure that you have CMW installed, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache (advanced < wipe dalvik cache), then install the ROM.

Most of all, MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE RIGHT ROM FOR YOUR DEVICE AND SOFTWARE VERSION

I'm rooted, but relatively new to Android. I'm on the newest firmware.

Ok, well if you go to (this is from memory) Settings > About Tablet > System Version and/or build number what does it say?

Do you have you tablet with you now?
Does it have a fast-ish network (has to be WI-FI connection) connection?

    iPad 2 (White)
Tip; Screenshot is pressing and holding Power + Volume Down simultaneously, take a screenshot of the settings page if necessary (no idea if you all still need it )
